Biography
Melissa Ekberg
1st Grade Teacher
Melissa is in her ninth year of teaching first grade. She graduated with a BS in Early Childhood Education from Brigham Young University. She started her teaching career in Salem, Utah teaching first grade, third and fourth grade Art and PE, and working part time in the school’s piano lab that she help set up. The next four years she taught in Arlington, Virginia. Melissa then put classroom teaching on hold to pursue a career in professional residential organizing and to focus on starting a family. As a result, she is the mother of two children, both boys, who attend Channing Hall. She enjoys reading, walking and talking with friends, organizing, music, singing, hammock naps, museums, learning new things with her children and vacations to Aruba with her extended family.
