Biography
Matt Hoecherl
Kindergarten Teacher
Mr. Matt taught kindergarten for six years at Emile Youchien (a kindergarten in Hiroshima, Japan) before moving his family to his native Utah 12 years ago. He has taught for 12 years at Channing Hall. He studied at both the University of Utah and Concordia University, where he earned a BA. He is the father of five children, three of whom attend Channing Hall, and enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys reading, making music, and writing short stories and plays. He is co-owner of a children’s musical theatre troupe with his sister, who teaches 6th grade at Channing Hall.
